James Receives Volunteering Honour at Celebration Event
YMCA Volunteer James Hughes received well deserved recognition for his hard work and dedication to the YM Cafe at a recent Celebration event held by West Midlands Councils.
The event which also included an inspirational presentation by John Peters, Gulf War POW, and Celebrity Chef Aldo Zilli marked the end of the very successful Living Well in the West Midlands West Midlands project, which had been funded by the National Lottery for 3 years.
James was recommended for a “Living Well Volunteer” award by YMCA Deputy Chief Executive (Acting), Michael Rossington who said:
“James thoroughly deserves to be congratulated for his hard work, and thanked for the time he has given to our charity over the last year. The Cafe team has been able to rely on him, and he has consistently showed that he is trustworthy and dependable.”
The award, which was presented by Gulf War Veteran John Peters was accompanied by a large hamper.
