DO YOU HAVE A SPARE ROOM?

West Bromwich YMCA are looking for hosts within Sandwell who have a spare room and are interested in hosting a vulnerable or homeless young person as a lodger.  In return for providing a room, food and some support you will receive £110 a week and a great support package.

If you would like to find out more information please contact Nathan Adams – 0121 5241974 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

West Bromwich & District YMCA have set up a Supported Lodging Scheme to operate across the borough of Sandwell for young people aged 16-17 years olds.

The project provides a more appropriate accommodation route for vulnerable young people - which the local authority has a statutory duty to house - than B&B accommodation or some hostel type provision. Initially a pilot project of 15 bed spaces, this will be developed and evaluated over a 2 year period. If successful the scheme may be further expanded.

The YMCA has several years experience running similar schemes in various parts of the UK. This experience will enable a Sandwell model to be established on a robust foundation.

If you are 16 or 17 year olds and have a housing need then please do get in touch with Nathan using the details above.
