The YMCA offers a wide range of training opportunities to all the residents. Every resident will be fully assessed and be placed on a well structured, tailor-made programme of self development and life skills.

One of the key learning opportunities is caled the Learning Power Awards, which are City and Guild accredited course. This excellent course, which is delivered by our in-house trainers is specifically designed to be flexible and adaptable. Residents start the course at the correct level for them and will progress through the course with encouragement and support from the staff team. Almost every aspect of life is covered by key learning points, which develop skills for life and independent living. 

Residents are also encouraged to take up volunteering opportunities, and work placements both within and outside the YMCA.
